Mikko Lagerstedt is a talented Finnish Landscape Photographer. His creative landscape photographs are so captivating, both visually and emotionally. His ability to read and capture emotions in certain places is what makes him stand out from the rest. Ultimately, his photographs are capable of taking the viewer to places instantly and making them feel lost in nature.
‘Solitude’ is such an emotion he portrays exceptionally. It is not an exaggeration when we at Fotomated say, ‘we haven’t seen anyone convey the loneliness or solitude better than him, in photography’. At one point he mentions that this style may be related to the passing of his best friend when he was young. It can be witnessed that the said incident has certainly fueled his style in these selected photographs.
According to him, he rarely travels far and most of his photographs are from around where he lives. Obviously, Finland is a gorgeous country; still, it is surprising that the photographer could create a whole new world for his audience using locations in a limited area.
Mikko has chosen his frames with extra care and has composed the frames very cleverly, to convey his message, solitude. And, if you observe the photographs carefully, you will see how he managed to use post-production to emphasize the emotions brilliantly.
