Ashraful Arefin is a Fine Art Photographer from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Street photography is one of his go-to genres in his photography journey. We at Fotomated noticed that he always tries to capture the streets in their natural form, without looking for strange and funny things or coincidences. He consistently portrays the big picture of the life of the streets, without focusing on tiny details. So his particular street photography collection is basically an authentic photo essay of that place.
His collection called 'From the Streets of Bangkok' is an excellent example of the aforementioned fact. Enjoy the collection of storytelling photographs below.

Being good at street photography is not easy as we all can understand how hard it is. Having an insanely vivid & creative imagination, being at the perfect spot at the ideal angle at the perfect time and being fast enough to capture the frame in milliseconds to set an emotion or to convey a message is not a joke.
There are several photography competitions that celebrate and award the tremendous effort of these street photographers. The Decisive Moments Magazine (TDM) Awards is such an international competition where talented street photographers can showcase their photographs. The winners and the finalists of their 2021 competition are released recently. Take a look at those amazing photographs below.

Street photographs are often so busy, obviously because that is how the streets are almost all the time. They are crowded, filled with so many details and contain a lot of emotions. But this French photographer, Jose Antoine Costa, seems to seek otherwise. He might like things to be calm, slow and minimal. That is...
Unlike most other genres of photography, street photographers should possess some intense additional skills to become successful in the field. In other genres, the photographer can plan the shoot, direct the subjects, set up the lighting, check the camera settings, take time as long as the shot is perfect and most importantly take another shot if the first one does not fit the expectation. But when you are on the street with a camera in your hand you don't have any of these luxuries.
One has to have keen eyes, have a good imagination, be extremely quick, be always ready, be very patient, improvise and make no mistakes if he wants to become a good street photographer. Only a window of a few seconds would be available to prepare and capture the moment. The one we are looking at today un...
Eric Kogan is a talented street photographer with an amazing eye to catch photographic frames in streets. He is originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, but he lives in the United States at present. He has a unique ability to spot amazing frames in ordinary streets. And he knows exactly when and how to capture them. He never misses a good opportunity for a photograph it seems.
Eric Kogan has stated that street photography inspires him because it takes the ordinary and makes it extraordinary in an interview with the online photography magazine ‘Up’. He does not excessively post product images which makes them more natural. See his brilliant captures below, which all are from New York city streets.
