This Street Photographer Has Some Serious Eyes to Catch Impossible Coincidences

Unlike most other genres of photography, street photographers should possess some intense additional skills to become successful in the field. In other genres, the photographer can plan the shoot, direct the subjects, set up the lighting, check the camera settings, take time as long as the shot is perfect and most importantly take another shot if the first one does not fit the expectation. But when you are on the street with a camera in your hand you don’t have any of these luxuries.

One has to have keen eyes, have a good imagination, be extremely quick, be always ready, be very patient, improvise and make no mistakes if he wants to become a good street photographer. Only a window of a few seconds would be available to prepare and capture the moment. The one we are looking at today undoubtedly has all the qualities mentioned above. Meet Pau Buscató, a talented street photographer from Barcelona, currently based in Norway. His ability to spot and capture awesome and funny coincidences is extraordinary. A photographer must have great creativity and a vivid imagination to capture these kinds of moments. It cannot be achieved overnight. Continuous practice backed by a born talent can only bring someone to such a point. Once the creativity and the imagination take control, the photographer will easily spot such moments.

Pau Buscató was an architect before giving up his job to focus on photography full time. He seems to really enjoy wandering the urban streets of cities around the world with his camera. He states,

“Nothing feels better than hitting the streets in the morning knowing I have all day ahead of me to photograph freely in the city. No plans, no predefined pictures, no route; just walk and walk and see and react, and walk and see and react, again and again, letting the photos guide me through the streets.”
